I am looking forward to meeting you and helping create memories you will cherish for years to come. Below you will find helpful tips to prepare for the type of session you have booked.
My studio space is cozy, so please try to keep extra guests to a minimum. Too many people behind the camera can distract little ones & make it harder for them to focus & connect with me during the session.
Pinterest is a wonderful place to gather inspiration for your shoot. I’m always happy to see ideas you love, but please keep in mind that every photographer, baby, & child is different. We can absolutely use your inspiration as a starting point while creating something unique to your session.

Studio Location– The day before your session, please email me to confirm your appointment. I will send the studio address along with a map to help you easily locate the property.

Parking– Please enter through the large ranch gate and park on either the left or right side of the driveway. Once you arrive, I will come out to greet you and walk you back to the studio located behind the house.

Baby/ Children Prep

Plan for 2 outfit changes for a mini session and up to 4 for a full session. Choosing outfits can sometimes feel overwhelming, but try to keep it fun and simple. If you have a specific theme in mind, I’m happy to help guide you in selecting outfits that will photograph beautifully.

Babies and young children are unpredictable, and every child reacts differently in a new environment. It is very common for little ones to feel shy or clingy when they first arrive. This is completely normal. I always take a little time to let your child warm up and get comfortable before we begin.

Most of the time children settle in quickly and show their wonderful personalities. On the rare occasion that your child is simply having an off day, we won’t force anything. The goal is always for your baby or child to have a positive experience in front of my camera, and sometimes that may mean rescheduling for another day.

Smash Cake Prep

Smash cake sessions are a little messy, but they are so much fun and a perfect way to celebrate your baby’s first birthday.

Feel free to bring balloons or small decorations if you would like to match a specific theme. Please plan to bring 3–4 outfits, including one that can get messy during the cake portion.

We will begin with 2–3 clean sets before moving on to the cake. Some babies dive right in, while others take a little time to warm up to the texture of the cake. This is completely normal. We will give your child time to explore at their own pace and gently encourage them if needed.

Please bring baby wipes for hands, feet, and messy faces. I’ll take care of the rest of the cleanup.

Note: Cake is NOT included, you bring the cake.

Newborn Session Prep

Newborn sessions typically last 2–3 hours to allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and settling your baby comfortably between poses.

The studio is kept warm (around 78 degrees) to help keep baby relaxed and sleepy during the session, so parents may want to dress in lighter layers.

Please bring the following items with you:

• Extra diapers

• Wipes

• A pacifier (even if baby does not normally use one)

• A bottle of pumped milk if nursing

Full tummies and a sleepy baby make for the smoothest newborn sessions. If possible, try to keep baby awake for a little while before arriving and plan to feed baby right before the session begins.

Newborn sessions are best photographed within the first 2–3 weeks of life while babies are still very sleepy and naturally curled. If your baby arrives earlier or later than expected, don’t worry — just reach out as soon as possible so we can adjust your session date if needed.

Most of these drops are only child size... few are sized for the full family. I can help you with any questions you may have about backdrop size.

Thank you, let me know if you have any additional questions.

Maternity

Maternity sessions are typically scheduled between 28–34 weeks, when your belly is beautifully round but you are still feeling comfortable enough to move around during the session.

Feel free to bring a few outfit options. Flowing dresses, fitted gowns, and simple neutral pieces photograph beautifully. You’re also welcome to bring your favorite pair of jeans, even if they no longer button, for a more relaxed look. I do have dresses here as well for you to choose from if needed.

Partners and children are always welcome to join for a few images if you would like to include them.

Most importantly, try to relax and enjoy the experience. Pregnancy is a beautiful and fleeting season, and these sessions are designed to celebrate you and the life you’re growing.

Family

Family studio sessions can comfortably accommodate up to 5–7 people, depending on the ages of children and spacing.

Outdoor sessions on the property are much more flexible and can accommodate larger families or extended family groups.

If young children will be part of the session, it can help to talk with them ahead of time about what to expect. Let them know they will be meeting a photographer and having their pictures taken so the experience feels fun and exciting rather than surprising.

When planning outfits, try to coordinate colors rather than match exactly. Neutral tones, soft colors, and simple patterns tend to photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your family.

Most importantly, come ready to relax and enjoy the experience. The best family photos often happen in the natural moments between poses.

Boudoir

Boudoir sessions are meant to be fun, relaxed, and empowering. Many women arrive feeling a little nervous at first, and that is completely normal. My goal is to create a comfortable space where you can relax, laugh, and truly enjoy the experience.

There will be some giggling, a lot of encouragement, and I will absolutely be your number one hype woman throughout the entire session.

Feel free to bring 2–4 outfit options that make you feel confident and beautiful. This could include lingerie, bodysuits, cozy sweaters, robes, or even an oversized shirt. Simple pieces often photograph beautifully.

Hair and makeup are completely your preference. Some women enjoy having their hair and makeup professionally done beforehand, while others prefer a more natural look. Either option photographs beautifully, so choose whatever makes you feel most like yourself.

You don’t need to know how to pose or worry about what to do in front of the camera. I will guide you through the entire session so you feel comfortable and confident every step of the way.

Most importantly, come ready to have fun and celebrate yourself. These sessions are about capturing your beauty exactly as you are in this moment. So you do you boo! I got the rest!

Here are a few simple tips to help you feel your best on session day:

Wardrobe: Choose outfits that make you feel confident and beautiful. This isn’t about trends — it’s about what makes you feel like your best self.

Hair & Makeup: Professional hair and makeup are completely optional. Some women love getting glammed up beforehand while others prefer a natural look. Either photographs beautifully.

Hydration & Rest: Getting a good night’s sleep and staying hydrated leading up to your session can make a big difference in how you look and feel.

Loose Clothing: Wear loose clothing the day of your session to avoid lines on your skin.

Relax & Have Fun: You don’t need to know how to pose. I will guide you the entire time so you can relax, laugh, and enjoy the experience.
